Hands of God and A Solar Eclipse!

You know it's God's hand working when your plans don't go according to plan.. (; It's been a testimony!
Our Yamhill baptism this past week went super good! Everything worked out and went so smoothly (super grateful after the craziness of taking over the baptism last minute!)
Wednesday night we had splits with the YSA again and it seems like the craziest things happen during this time! We felt prompted and went to a home we were told specifically not to go to or it would be bad.. We wanted to meet James, a newly returned missionary from the Seattle mission (he has an awesome conversion story) but was warned there were anti people at his home and specifically not to have the missionaries (us) come. So we planned Sara (RM) and I would stay in the car while Daniel goes to meet him.. a few minutes later the mom comes out of the house and motions for us to come in! Ah! And she says she LOVES the missionaries! (What? This was not what I heard earlier that day!) It was so crazy! We went in and got to meet James, talk about missions and ate cake and ice cream! The visit was super good (:
On Fridays, Dayton has this awesome gathering at the park each week in the summer for people to come and sell stuff, play music, car show, socialize, and an incredible experience of bringing the whole community together! I LOVE it! It's a perfect time to talk to people and it's been so fun to be part of!
Saturday and Sunday were off days but still pretty cool. This was when the plans we had set didn't go according to plan but we got to see God directing us where to go! They were really cool missionary experiences of being able to be in the right places and to share testimony! And see tender mercies (:
Also! The SOLAR ECLIPSE happened today! We were in the line of totality and it was SO COOL! It was crazy to see it get dark so quickly right up to the point of totality and see the sun's corona! Ah! It was incredible! Also the traffic and everything wasn't so bad! At least not until after, there were lines of cars trying to leave! (It was a lot of traffic for a small town like Dayton).
It's crazy the experiences we all have of life going in a completely different direction than we had planned. Sister Lamb and I have been talking about it and it's incredible how things will work out. I read this scripture this past week and thought it was perfect! "Know ye not that ye are in the hands of God?" (Mormon 5:23). I love this opportunity I have to get to know my Heavenly Father and Savior more! It's incredible how everything happens for a reason but to also know there is an infinite being of pure love out there watching over us. He knows so much more than we do!
Thank you for the LOVE and SUPPORT! I LOVE you!! Stay Safe and GOOD LUCK to everyone going back to school!!
